Annual Course

Why Attend SGNA's Annual Course?

"The Annual Course is valuable to my practice, and it's nice to take back the information and share it with my colleagues."

SGNA encourages attendees to take education back to their units! The entire team can review the Advance Program prior to the Annual Course and select a customized line-up of sessions to meet the unit's needs and specialty. An attendee becomes the unit's representative at the conference's General and Concurrent Sessions, Vendor Programs and Exhibit Hall!

And, every attendee is provided with handouts from every session, which can be shared throughout the unit.

"I found this course very useful in furthering my education."

The SGNA Annual Course offers important resources and educational opportunities, such as certification, to advance in the GI profession and stay up-to-date on the trends of the industry. The Annual Course provides a meeting place for GI and Endoscopy professionals to share ideas and best practices.

"The conference is very uplifting and puts a new spring in my step about my job."

According to The William E. Smith Institute for Association Research, 72% of active association members are "very satisfied" with their jobs, compared to 42% nonmembers. In turn, it is in the interest of employers to encourage high-value employees to participate in professional association events.

"Attending this conference was a thrill. The educational opportunities were wonderful."

The Annual Course provides session topics that focus on the process, therapeutic and diagnostic aspects of GI and Endoscopy. The Exhibit Hall provides exposure to new technologies and services available through the industry's leading vendors.

And, with a variety of hands-on sessions, Annual Course attendees get direct training that can immediately be applied.

"The Annual Course is great for the new GI nurse."

Consider using the Annual Course as a comprehensive training experience for new GI nurses or professionals. With a full spectrum of GI topics and hands-on sessions, the Annual Course is a structured, cost efficient option for GI units' on-boarding efforts.

"While attending college in 1980, I joined the world of Endoscopy, I fell in love with my work and never looked back. I became a member of the SGNA family in 1985. Attending my 1st Annual Course that year in New York City. I have continued to attend them ever since (and yes you can easily compare them to to a family reunion with all the fun, but I always learn a bunch too). SGNA members and activities have been a giant blessing in my life. I have had the honor of working side by side with some incredible and energetic people dedicated to the mission of SGNA on the program committee, as well as many other committee's. I have traveled and taught across the globe, as we share one strong common bond...our passion for G.I. education. When certification was available to associates I was certified, I currently advocate for better ways to validate the knowledge and skills of our Associates. SGNA provides so much to each of it's members, including great opportunities for Associates."
