What will SGNA 48th Annual Course: A Virtual Experience be like?
During the time that we would have met in Pittsburgh, SGNA will offer a full line-up of sessions for virtual conference attendees. Much like our virtual event in fall 2020, there will be keynotes, educational sessions, a virtual exhibit hall, vendor programs and networking.
In the fall, nearly 1,200 GI nursing professionals and partner representatives came together for our first virtual experience. We will use lessons learned to enhance your experience, but can assure you the opportunities to gain relevant education and evidence-based best practices will be a prominent feature of this event as well.
Attendees will also be able to chat in real-time with other attendees, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors and SGNA staff. In the virtual exhibit hall, attendees can learn about the latest innovations, products, services and resources. Games and prizes will be available to all attendees who participate in SGNA 48th Annual Course: A Virtual Experience.
What are the dates of SGNA 48th Annual Course: A Virtual Experience?
SGNA 48th Annual Course: A Virtual Experience will take place Saturday, May 22, through Tuesday, May 25, with optional pre-conference workshops May 21-22 available to add on to your registration. Session recordings will be available to access at your leisure through the event platform for up to 30 days after the event.
How many contact hours will be available through SGNA 48th Annual Course: A Virtual Experience?
SGNA’s program committee is working to finalize the virtual event schedule and speakers, and will confirm the available contact hours in the coming weeks.
When will registration open for SGNA 48th Annual Course: A Virtual Experience?
We anticipate that online registration for SGNA 48th Annual Course: A Virtual Experience will open the week of February 22, 2021.
What is the cancellation policy?
As content will be available on-demand for all paid registrants, SGNA will not accept any cancelation requests for registrations for SGNA 48th Annual Course: A Virtual Experience.
Will Annual Course scholarships be available for the virtual event?
SGNA will award scholarships to allow GI nursing professionals to attend the 48th Annual Course: A Virtual Experience. Please apply before February 1 for consideration.
Will there be exhibitor and sponsor opportunities?
SGNA will provide similar opportunities to support the 48th Annual Course: A Virtual Experience through sponsorship and participation in the virtual exhibit hall. Please contact Sarah Appleton for additional details or to confirm your participation.
What if I already made travel reservations for the Annual Course?
If you made any travel arrangements for the in-person meeting this May, it will be your responsibility to ensure all hotel and flight reservations are canceled.
